Default need help in iowa

I am the single mother of a newborn. My situation is this, the father of the baby wants to be involved way too much and both him and his family are already trying to tell me when tehy will see the baby and think the baby is staying at their house which is disgusting inside from animals urinating and unclean. I do not want my baby there. Does anyone know the law in Iowa for unwed mothers? Please help I just want to enjoy my baby and this is stressing me out. Also do you see any reason why I shloud put his mane on the birth certificat? I would rather not.

Thanks

If he is the father and you do not put him on the birth certificate and he wants to be a father, he will go file to establish paternity so save everyone time and money and do the right thing. Next and this is serious- a newborn should not be exposed to a public health nightmare, so after he is on the birth certificate as the father, file for custody and support and in the custody seek joint custody and primary physical custody with the father getting supervised visitation and no visitation at his relatives. Explain to the court that it is because the place is a public health nightmare that is bad for the child's physical development, and that you are agreeable to contact, but supervise contact to ensure the baby's health is not put at risk. Folks have lost custody for being smokers, so this argument should be taken seriously. I suggest getting pictures, being able to have others testify about this, and maybe report the place to the public health officials for them to inspect and do a report if you think it is warranted. At this point, you do not have to do what his family wants. I would allow supervised visitation of the father at where you live with the child not being taken away, then get to court and get this settled asap.
