I recently moved to Minnesota, and just found a job, however, I am wondering at the legality of what this company is asking of me.
They currently want me to work a minimum of: tues: 10am-8pm Frid:10am-8pm sat: 10am-8pm sun:11pm-6pm It is working at a mall, and the 10 or 11 am is the opening time. the mall closes at 6 on sundays, and 9 other days. The job requires that the worker stand, for the entire 10 hours straight, and they give us a 30 min break at some undetermined point during the day. Basically, I have been hired on to work the shifts that the other previous employees request off, so that they don't have to work the weekends. I am just sitting here, wondering, when exactly Im supposed to have a life, since they are also wanting me to work the same 10-8 on Mon Wed and Thur. |

Hi,
As long as you are paid for all hours, including OT for any hours worked over 40 in a week, it is legal. Not fun, but legal. |
