Should the company pay any unused PTO days?
Background: I am leaving my current company for a new opportunity and I have 3 weeks of PTO left. Is it illegal for the company to not pay me for those days? We do not accrue PTO here other than on an annual basis so once an employee hits their annaversery date the full amount of days are available to use. And yes, I am in Arizona. Thanks for any help or advise. yazzu |

According to my source, the answer depends on the company's policy. If their policy is to pay unused vacation/PTO at termination, then yes, they do. If they do not have a policy or practice of doing so, it is not required.
