The business I work for has "slowed down" quite a bit recently. My employer was recently talking about reducing me from full time (35 hours) to either 25/30 hours per week so I could still stay on. I have worked the full time schedule since I started on September 27, 2004. My question is - if I drop to less than a full time employee, is this going to effect my eligibility for unemployment benefits when the ever-looming layoff occurs? I have heard that if you are not a full time employee, you are not eligible to collect benefits in MA (i think the 25-30 hours/week is only going to last for a month or so until he finally has to lay me off until things look up)
