Default Eviction in Virginia

what is the legal procedure for eviction in virginia. no rent paid in 3 months. given notices of late fees and total rent owed. told that if i dont pay up will be taken to court and turned over to collection agency. do they have to give me eviction notice before taking me to court. or can they directly file a court case without telling me to move out?

If a case is filed in court against you to evict you, you should be served with papers by mail, in person, at the home, etc.... It is possible at times that people are served and they lose the papers, neighbors or others in the home get it and do not know what it is and throw it out, etc....
