Post Is This discrimanation

There was so much happening to me at work I dont know if this is discrimination or not .Im the only women working in a all men shop.I paint autos and I am certified .Ive work there 13 yrs.and am on commision Everytime a new guy is hired my work load goes to him. My manager has literally tried to take a job away from me that I started and tried to give it to the new emploee that he had promised 40 hrs. to per. week. There use to be two bodymen working full time and I would paint the jobs when they were ready for me .Now there are all combination men (they do their own body and paint)except for 1 who is so slow he cost me money. I have been told that If I want to do a mans job I better become a man by our shop forman and also yelled at from him for not being able to remove a handle that was really stuck on there to the piont he had trouble getting it off.He said I shouldnt of taken the job if I dont know what Im doing (I tore the whole job down and was ready to repair the scratches and fix a dent ,I was just having trouble removing the handle and ask him if there was a trick to removing this.)And that was the answer I got ,I was also told that the management would keep the workers they want to keep by feeding them work and starving the others to the point the employee is forced to quit and find different employment .That way they dont fire people or lay them off so they dont have to pay unemployment.Well is been starved out on purpose a form of discrimination ? Theres so much more to tell and it would take days to write it all. They wont hire a bodyman that I can paint behind either ,and I struggle every week for a paycheck.

Default Discrimination

It certainly sounds like potential discrimination on the basis of gender. You can talk with the state and see if they will accept a complaint. Their website is at: http://www.state.ia.us/government/crc/faq's.html
