Is it legal for an employer (in Michigan) to tell employees they "Can Not" take lunch? I have always been under the impression that after 4 hours of work, you are entitled a break.

Sorry, there is no such law.
Federal law does not require breaks at all, and under Michigan law only minors are entitled by law to a break. While I do not agree with refusing a break to employees, it is nonetheless legal in your state. |
