Question what to think-Northdakota

Well it all started back in March my husband was fired from his job. The company has a noncompete clause. Well when looking for a job we talked to the state (labor) & they say that in North Dakota non-compete clause do not stand up, because we have the right to work. So my husband took a job within a few miles. Well I also worked for the same man as my boss, but in a different company. He was manager of two companies.
I only worked there if they needed someone to fill in, because I already work a job htat I work 12 hrs a day. Well I went into work for someone that was sick the department manager called me in! We have a little baby. I left a message on my husbands phone saying that I went to work & that I was not positive at that time where, our baby was going had two choices. So after I was at work. My husband called & was wondering where our baby was. So I told him & he asked me a couple other questions. Since I would be at work until 11p.m. Well as I was talking to my husband, The main boss came in & bought food, he did not say one word to me. I was alittle nervous to be at the job to start with since it was the first time since he fired my husband. Well anyway I just had this sick sense about the whole thing. I had to talk to the department man. a couple of times because some thing came up that I didn't know how to deal with & I would just as soon do them right the first time. So I talked to her on the phone. Well here the main boss was in the back taping me on the camera. Which I find out that is usually never on. Which really makes me mad, because this is a gas station & we are there by ourselves late at night, anyway. Well my husband came in when it was just about closing time. He said that the boss was out there & then he notice him circle the buildings a couple of times. Well the next morning came & he went through all my paper work. He wanted to make sure that my till was on & it was just a few cents off & I wasn't the only one on the till. There actually was three people on the till. Then was two order the next two weeks & he told the dept manager to find some one else & she said that she could not. Well one more thing happened, that really makes him look like he is tring to get us. Alot of people tell us we would have a case, but what to think?

Default Issue with your manager

I'm not sure if I understand your situation. I'm going to restate what I think you are saying. Let me know if I am incorrect.

As I understand it, you are asking if you have enough cause to file a complaint of discrimination. Your complaint is that
1) your manager did not give you enough advance notice of your need to come to work
2) He was videotaping you at work
3) He is double checking all of your receipts, to ensure that the money you colelcted during your shift is correct.

Is this right?

I suggest you talk with someone from the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to learn whether you have acase for discrimination or not. You can look at their website at: http://www.eeoc.gov/ for more information.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
