back child support collection
Indiana. My ex moved a long time ago to Florida and I decided since my kids were finally out of high school and they still needed help to try to get the back child support that was owed. My attorney filed papers for a wage withholding and then I found out that my ex quit his job of six years right before they got the papers. Well I found out where he is working currently and after paying off my attorney I called my attorney to have him refile the wage withholding. He said he would but after talking to his secretary I do not think he ever did. Can I file the papers myself. He was at one time over 6000.00 but now just owes 3775.00. it would sure help my kids to have the money. Can anyone give me some advice?

You can always file the paperwork for your case yourself. However, it may be a good idea to try and work this out with the father too in a spirit of positiveness if for no other reason than to know his employment situations.
