A person maintains parental rights, unless the parent gives them up or the court terminates them.

It happens---a court could order that the non-custodial parent pay for child support even if primary and physical and sole custody is with the other parent. The court may order that the non-custodial parent have reasonable visitation in the absence of evidence that the non-custodial parent is unfit or a danger to the child.

Even if the father is away and can not visit the child he still has responsibility to pay childsupport. Now if you do not want him to have right to see the children that has to be court order. But even if he has no right to see the children he still has to pay child support. The best thing is to find some one to help you. A lawyer could help or if you apply for financial help thru the Department of Human Services they also require you to file for child support and they help you all the way. |

If you want you can agree to termination of rights. You can also agree to visitation only in FL supervised until the child reaches 14. You do have options. Think it through and be sure to consider the taking the child out of state issue.Do you really need the money?
