I have been performing the same job, same task for the past seven years. Prior to the first company merger I was receiving overtime as an exemt employee.
In 2000, the company spinned off from the parent company, we were told at that we will not recieve time and half for overtime just straight time. In 2002, the company merge with a larger corporation and we begun receiving time and half. Is their any action I can take at this time to recieve the loss wages for the two years I only receive straight time? Chicago ![]() |

As I mentioned in the earlier post, you are probably too late to file a claim. You may wish to call the Illinois Department of Labor for verification of that information. Good luck and let me know if you have additional questions.
