Default Overtime Merger Company

I have been performing the same job, same task for the past seven years. Prior to the first company merger I was receiving overtime as an exemt employee.

In 2000, the company spinned off from the parent company, we were told at that we will not recieve time and half for overtime just straight time.

In 2002, the company merge with a larger corporation and we begun receiving time and half.

Is their any action I can take at this time to recieve the loss wages for the two years I only receive straight time?

First, I want to make sure that you know that you have a limited period of time in which to file a wage claim. You can learn more about Illinois' process by calling the Illinois Department of Labor at 1-312-793-2808. I'm pretty sure that you are too late in filing a claim.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
