treated un fairley,ky
hi i am writing in reguards to the situation the my boyfriend and i are currently in. let me start off by saying that i do belive that the absent parent should pay child support. i recive child support myself so i do know how hard it can be to get it, but his story is a little different. so please dont judge untill you have read it all. he has 2 kids by 2 diffrent women. he pays 656.00 a month to one and 408.00 a month to the other. he has paid that faithfully untill 3/24/04. he lost a good job due to his own actions, when he lost that job he found another one not making half of what he did,so he paid what he could. he went to the child support office to put in for a decrease it was denied. we have been fighting this for a little over a year now, i feel as if he is being discriminated against. the courts are still refusing to lower his payments. likke i stated earlier the absent parent should have to pay, but 11,000.00 a month in child support is outrageous. he went from making 54,000.00 a year to maybe 15,000.00 a year. the total amount of child support for both in a year the support tatals about 12,768.00 that leaves him to live on for a year 2,232.00. one of the mothers makes about 60,000.00, the other makes about 30,00.00. i am wondering why cant we do something about this. we really need some advice.
thank you
theresa, jeff
