Default Maternity Leave - RI

I work for a very small professional firm (10 employees). When I first learned that I was pregnant I researched Temporary Disability Insurance Benefits. I thought that in RI, I was entitled to a maximum of 13 weeks leave (paid) for pregnancy. Now, I know several others who are pregnant and it seems that 6 to 8 weeks is all they thought we were entitled to. I am trying to give my boss an idea of how long I will be out, and I can't seem to get a firm answer from RI Dept. of Labor and Training. I asked them what the normal maternity benefit length was and the response was "as long as you are medically unable to work". I also haven't had any luck trying to find the "13 week" requirement recently. Can you clarify for me?
Thank you!

I checked out the FMLA information, but I don't think that it is applicable....my company only has 10 employees. I know that RI has disability insurance that covers maternity leave, but I am having a real hard time getting the specicifcs. Any other advice?
