    Default Can part time employee apply for unemployment Pennsylvania

    Can a part time employee who was never guaranteed a certain amount of hours and signed a form stating such apply for unemployment compensation because business has slowed down some for a period of time?

    They can apply for unemployment. Whether they get it is up to the state. It depends on their average work hours and how many they are receiving now.

    It never hurts to apply. The state will decide if the employee qualifies for any UI benefits.
