My son was involved in a motorcycle accident in which he suffered extensive damage to his legs. He was travelling westound in the wb lane and the other vechicle was travelling eb in the eb lane. The other driver made a left turn in front of him. He was issued a ticket for reckless driving and the other driver was issued a ticket for 39:4-67. Obstructing passage of other vehicles or street cars prohibited; clearance of intersections I couldn't understand why he got a ticket for reckless driving until I received the accident report "witnesses" said he was travelling at a high rate of speed but he was not issued a speeding ticket and on the report no witnesses are listed. This is the only ticket he has ever received and he has been riding a motorcycle for almost 10 years. How do we fight this?

Unless your son in under 18, he would fight the ticket, not you. He should follow the steps listed on the ticket for appeal.

Also I looked up the law for NJ reckless driving and it is not only speeding.

A person who drives a vehicle heedlessly, in willful or wanton disregard of the rights or safety of others, in a manner so as to endanger, or be likely to endanger, a person or property, shall be guilty of reckless driving and be punished by imprisonment in the county or municipal jail for a period of not more than 60 days, or by a fine of not less than $50.00 or more than $200.00, or both.

On a second or subsequent conviction he shall be punished by imprisonment for not more than three months, or by a fine of not less than $100.00 or more than $500.00, or both.

He can appeal himself or he can talk to a traffic law attorney. "Sometimes" they can get a ticket dismissed or at least reduced.
