    Default Too Poor to Pay suspicious Speeding/seatbelt ticket!!! New York

    thanks for your help!!
    I think I'm being discriminated against for these 2 tickets. it's not an issue of money but I wasn't going 25 over the speed limit
    I got depositions for a speeding/seatblet ticket. I think there are errors in the address and my license plate number. How can I file motions to have these dismissed?

    You can either pay the ticket or tell the judge why you think you shouldn't
    have to pay it.

    aren't there motions I can file if there are depo errors?

    Minor clerical errors rarely if ever void the ticket.
    The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says otherwise. If it does, then the terms of the contract or CBA apply.

    You can ask the court clerk if there is anything you can file. However, I'm
    not sure that just having the wrong address will get the ticket thrown out.

    thanks! the location of the offense and the license plate are wrong I think
    also I don't think I was 25mph above the limit

    can I file a motion if the license plate is wrong? what is the name of the motion?
    no one ever gets tickets like this in town- I think I'm being discriminated against

    You can try. You can ask the court clerk what needs to be done to try
    & get a ticket dismissed. Generally you either pay the ticket or request
    a court date with a judge & the judge makes the decision whether you
    need to pay it or not.
