I signed a contract with a travel health care company that stated I could back out until the day the assignment began. A better job came along and I took it and let them know I was declining the job. The recruiter sent me an email and said that they were blacklisting me from their company and that the large healthcare company that I was going to work for was blacklisting me, along with every company that they're affiliated with, for declining the job. She added that when my "dream job" didn't work out I would have a hard time finding a job and that this decision will follow me wherever I go. Is this legal?? I never even worked for them and I backed out of the contract in the time I was allowed to.
