I am currently paid on fluctuating work week and was wondering about PTO time in relation to my hours worked per week.
I have a bank of 176 PTO hours after my years of employment. The company that i work for takes PTO out of my allotment for weeks that i do not work 40 hours, even though i am paid on fluctuating work week. I understand that FWW is set up for those individuals whose weeks fluctuate. Some weeks i work 30 hours, some 40 hours, some 50 hours and some even more than that. I feel that it defeats the purpose of being paid on FWW if i have to use PTO hours to get me to 40 hours to receive my 'salaried' amount. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
