What is considered an hostile environment? Is being so stressed out from another co worker and the way that co worker is treating you considered hostile environment? And if you can prove its a hostile environment can you quit and get unemployment? There is a lot more to this story. I have worked at this job for over 2 years. a lot of us went to a club for my birthday. a lot of us drank way too much, anyway this co worker and I kissed. It caused a big mess and returning to work I talked to my boss and let them know what happened. I also said it was a mistake and would never happen again that we could work together. Now this co worker thinks there is more there than their is. i have received an email which I sent a response back to this co worker saying there is nothing between us and can we please work like adults and let this go. I just want for us to treat each other like co worker. the same way i treat the other co workers i work with. I got a nasty email back basically cutting me down and now I am being completely ignored by this man. I don't want to see him fired because I know he has two small kids and a wife which need his support. But I can not come to work every day with this stress. My husband knows the whole thing and after we have worked through all of this he is upset that I am dealing with this at work. If i didn't need this job I would have quit.
