I need copies of several real estate documents I signed with a Realtor in Michigan. ie: listing agreement, disclosure statement, purchase agreement, etc.
It is important I get these but the real estate company refuses to give me copies. (mine were stolen along with misc. things from self storage) Are they not obligated to turn these over to me upon demand??? Please let me know if you know this answer. Thanks! Mike |

It depends on the terms of your listing agreement, but I do not get why providing a copy of these documents is not happening. You may want to contact the broker involved, then the local board of realtors to file a grievance, and if not them, the governing state body. I don't know if this is oversight or just insensitivity. And if they send older papers to microfiche or something like that, they may charge a fee for copies.
