I Work For A Small Business With Three Employees - Two Full Time And Myself Part-time 10hours Per Week. I Am Out Due To The Birth Of My Third Child And Inquired About A Return Date - The Owner Stated That My Current Position Is No Longer Available Due To Business Being Slow And Is Looking For Something Else For Me To Do But At This Time There Is Nothing Available - Can They Do That?

Yes, they can. As a small employer, they are exempt from the great majority of federal laws protecting leave rights and discrimination.
