Hello. Sorry if this is the wrong forum. About a year ago, my wife and I were hit while making a left on a green arrow by a careless driver -- we were in a Toyota Yaris, the other guy was in a Pontiac sedan, going about 35-40MPH. Our insurance company has found the other driver at fault and will pursue legal action against him, as his insurance company was unwilling to cooperate. I sustained what I believe to be a minor head injury, and so we have only requested that our insurance company pay for one doctor's visit, rental car and work days missed, which comes out to about 1500 dollars. My insurance company did not try to negotiate down on the settlement we requested, so that's fine. Now we have both received a document for each of us to sign, agreeing to the settlement and waiving rights to compensation for any future, related health issues or death that may arise, so now I'm second guessing myself. Is 1500 too low? Should I see a head and/or back specialist? I only went to a regular doctor and all he did was look at my head; no special tests or anything.
