Question Part Time status, Full Time hours

My husband started as Part Time (20 hours/wk) six months ago, but has been working 40+ hours/wk for the last 3 months. He wants his status to change to Full Time so he can get vacation and other benefits accrued at Full Time rate.

What are the rules about how many hours you work (in a quarter, in a year?) before you have to be considered Full Time?

Thre are no federal laws on this. As long as he is being paid at or over minimum wage for regular hours and 1.5 his normal rate for any hours worked over 40 in a week, it is not breaking Federal Law.
