No lunch breaks for seven years
A firend of mine worked for a fast food chain as a assistant general Manager. Forced to work up to fifteen hours a day for 7 years he recieve no lunch break. He never waved his right to lunch breaks. Nor did he aggree to this. But due to his job title he wasnt allowed to leave the resturant at any time. He would come in at 4 pm and his manager would leave at 7 or 8 pm. So my point is that they could have gave him breaks. Any wrong doing here?California!

Meal Period
With a few exceptions, California requires a meal period of 1/2 hour after 5 hours, unless the work is such that it is not possible to relieve someone of all of their responsibilities. In that case, employers and employees can enter into a mutual agreement that the meal period is waived.
