I have worked for the for company for 10 years, I am a working construction superintendent. I work 70 - 100 hours a week on salary, my salary is $1000 a week. As part of my salary I get $100.00 peridium a week.
1.) My employer just took my $100.00 peridium out my check with out writen or verbal consent is this legal?
2.) My employer changes employees from salary to regular pay on a regular basis is this legal?
3.) How do I know if I am salary non-exempt or salary exempt ?
4.) Can my employer lay someone off, then hire a lower paid person to do the same job that I was doing?
5.) My employer hired a office mannager a year ago and in the past month she told me he has been making sexual comments and jestures toward her, but she is affraid to say anything from fear of loosing here job.
6.) Can my employer lay someone off for a week, work them a week then lay them back off again and again?
7.) My employer hired 4 mexican's that gave him fake ssn cards and ID's, he did the checks to see if they where real and it came back they where fake but still hired them, I know it is not legal but what can be done?
8.) My employer layed me off on tuesday is he required to pay me the salary for the rest of this week?
