Default Please help any advice!

I am an apprentice toolmaker for a very large company in California. I recently returned to work after a complicated pregnacy and an even more complicated delievery. The day afer I returned I recieved a notice of discipline regaurding school from my HR, supervisor and the chair of the apprenticeship committee. When I first went out on medical disability due to pregnacy I contacted the school and informed them I was out on a medical disablity and would not be able to return this semester. I asked for a withdraw or an Incomplete. They said "we'll take care of it". Later I found that I had somehow slipped through the cracks and recieved failing grades. In my letter of discipline special conditions have been written in order for me to continue in my position. When I asked to opt out of the program and transfer to another department I qualify for, (like several men have already had) I was turned down. I feel the conditions in which they have placed me in is setting me up to fail and I fear I will lose my job due to having a baby. I don't want to make a book out of this, please write me back, if you need more information.

Default Pregnancy

It is illegal to treat someone differently than other employees just because she is pregnant. This is called discrimination on the basis of pregnancy. You can read more about it at: www.eeoc.gov
