I have a question. My employer doens't offer short term disability. Is this legal? If so, what do I do to get compensated financially for the 3 months of maternityleave?. Is there any other funding available. HELP

There is no requirement to provide short-term disability to employees. As far as how to pay for leave, there isn't any program that I am aware of, short of public assistance, to cover your time off. You can read more about public assistance programs in Florida at: http://www.govbenefits.gov/govbenefits/index.jhtml
