A guy at work ( who happens to be an acting supervisor, my real boss comes in about once or twice a week to our work location) told the guys at work and also my boss that I fooled around with an elderly customer. My boss never took any action on it and just let the guy run his mouth to everybody. Another guy at work told the other guys at work that I was out riding around on my sport motorcycle (crotch-rocket) with my wife on the back shortly after going on workers comp with a back injury and said "I guess his back isn't hurting too bad". Then the acting supervisor and the second guy started saying to the guys at work that "I won't be coming back to work because I took a job at C.V.S." All three statements are completely false.
A neighbor told me that the second guy and his wife told him while talking to him at a store that I am a drunk and I'm partying really bad and my marriage is falling apart. All false!
All these incidents took place with-in a couple of weeks, these are only the things I found out about I bet there is much more.
I am a union member and I work for a BIG telecommunications co.
What would you suggest as my next step
1) call the union
2)confront my boss and demand an apology from the him and the workers.
4)call the EEOC
There is so much more going on than this at work but this is not the time or place.
