Anyone Vermont Approved Recently?

Waiting desperately for VSC to do their thing with my application.

I know I'm VERY lucky to be filing at VSC but I haven't heard of any
recent approvals - can anyone give me a glimmer of hope?

Online status says received June 30th and taking 30 to 45 days to
process.

Meant to be getting married on Sept 6th in USA, plans made back in
January when my fiance was living with me and working in England, then
was called back to the US.

Not our fault - getting very depressed...

Ye we re all waiting on VERMONT,it s unusual for Vermont,we filed our I
129 F in April,then got a RFE that we sended in the first july
week..still waiting like everybody on Vermont..Good luck

Nothing new from Vermont so far- yet as long as things are in a
reasonable time frame (Matt Udall, I guess I learnt your lesson ;-) )
there should not be a thing to worry about... got trapped myself in the
September wedding plan trap... well- thank God we are flexible!!!

I have just got off the phone to the National Customer Service Centre,
where I enquired about delays at Vermont.

They assured me that they are aware of no such delays at Vermont, that
they would have been informed if there were delays, and that the Fiance
Visa applications from Vermont are being processed within a month. I
can only hope that this information is correct.

Although this news will not help those individuals whose cases are
taking longer than they should, or who are applying for visas other
than the K1, I hope it helps to reassure others.

Sorry, Karen, they weren't more specific - clearly not 'all'
applications are being processed within a month.

However, the message from the Customer Service Centre seems to be that
there is no particular reason why anybody should be experiencing delays
through Vermont, and it is certainly not the case that everybody should
expect delays. Again, I very much hope that this is correct.

I called the Centre from the UK, and found them very helpful. I would
recommend that people whose K1 Visa cases are taking longer than the
estimation given on their receipt contact the National Customer Service
Centre. (Sorry if I'm 'teaching grandmothers to suck eggs'! Just a
suggestion.)

Something you will learn very quickly is that the people at the
service centers don't know their but from a hole in the ground. They
see the same information on their screen that you can see online or
over the phone.

Not to burst your bubble, but I think you'd be hard pressed to have
everything done by Sept 6. I too went thorough vermont and I was lucky
mine was done in 22 days. You may have the approval by then, but can
the UK have your visa to you by then.....I doubt it. I surely hope you
can have it by then, I know just planning the wedding is enough to
stress you out let alone everything else.

You said you were approved in 22 days. Firstly, CONGRATULATIONS!
Secondly, me (and many others) are confused as to whether the processing
times quoted are business days or calendar days. Can you please
clarify, as you are lucky enough to be able to give an informed answer.

Interesting. I've made a few call to the NCSC in regard to my I-129f
petition at the VSC, and I was consistently told that Vermont is taking
60 days. Each person I spoke with refused to issue an inquiry to the
VSC until after the 60 days - calendar days - had passed.

91 days, without an RFE, and counting...

25 days waiting for a response to the NCSC inquiry...

My latest information from Vermont is that they are taking between 60 -
90 days to process I-129F's (someone also told me 90 - 120 days but I am
trying to ignore that!). Unbelievable (and extremely unfair) that you
are at 91 days without even an RFE to cause a delay.

They also said that ONCE it is with an adjudicating officer, it'll take
a WEEK to process!

I wish you loads of luck, unfortunately we all need it.

P.S. It's SO frustrating that people who simply decide on the spur of
the moment to get married after travelling on a Visa Waiver, can
then stay and adjust status, whereas we poor folks going down the
"proper" route are subjected to all this...

ye it s extremly frustrating..they shoudn t give us a timelimit from 30-
45 days..waiting since april 15 th..awwwwww....hopefuly it will come
soon,all in one wave...so that we can finaly get married

Hi

I just called my immigration lawyer today about the "Vermont"
situation,and he said that he noticed that they slowed down
extremly..he said that everybody is calling him and complaining
about that,but we just gota wait --there s realy nothing we can do
about that...he couldn t even tell us how much longer this is gona
take..days..weeks..moths???Good luck "Vermont"!!!!

my info from someone who works at the VSC and cannot be named for
obvious reasons is that you can expect delays from vermont.

part of the reason is that the BCIS is finally recognizing the
unfairness between the TSC NSC and VSC ;and the recent large number
of protests, especially from the Texas petitioners has brought
about changes.

i am not involved with immigration. I have a friend who has a fiance is
the only reason I have anything to do with this.

I am able to give him some info and I am giving this group the
same info.

I'm not holding my breath on anything happening soon with Vermont mainly
because I've pretty much given up hope. We have received no reply from
a letter written about 3 weeks ago. We phoned the NSC and were told that
they would let us know in 30 days. We had my fiance's congresswoman
contact them more than 2 weeks ago and they told her that they were
working on April K1's. Our only recourse it would seem is to ask the
congresswoman to contact them again.

I've reported in here before that this is my 2nd attempt at a K1
because I (the Canadian) cancelled the first one with another
American woman because it was not going to work out. So whether its
because of that or for what ever the reason we have received no RFE
or anything. Just total silence!! I've worn out the NOA1 piece of
paper checking the online status which I have pretty much memorized
because it says the same thing every time.

NOA1 - 04/07/03

NOA2 - God only knows

Hi... our case was aproved from vermont center on 17 Oct 06, in 22 days and then from NVC in 6 days so whish u good luck
