Exclamation I Need Help

i live in new york and my parents are getting a divorce and i dont know who i should live wiht does the judge pick who i am gunna live wiht or can i choose .... i have a little sister and she is 13 and im 16 can we choose what parent we wanna live with?

Although you do not have the right to make that decision on your own, a judge does give much weight to the desires of children over the age of 12.

Because of your ages, I'd hope that the two of you and your parents can come to an agreement that best meets the needs of all involved.

I'm not sure about other places, but in Oklahoma, the mother usually gets the kids. Almost every time.
