hello,
can someone tell me if an employer can force you to use holiday/vaction/and sick time. the company my sister works for is moving into a new building ,and the employer is making all the employees help with the move, but he states that they HAVE to use their vaction/sick/or floating hoilday time on the day of the move and if they do not he will write them up. Is this legal? thanks thatdarrell. ![]() |

Yes, it is. I think it's outrageous that he would do such a thing, but no law requires that the employer provide any vacation, sick, personal or holiday time at all; they are free to dictate how it is used.
