    Default Position Elimination - Justified? Texas

    Hi,

    I was just laid off from my job based on the economic downturn and the need to eliminate my position. I have just found out that they will be rehiring my former position with a different title but similar responsibilities. Was this a wrongful termination of my position? What action can I take regarding this?

    It's not even close to wrongul termination. A wrongful termination exists when you are fired for a reason for which a law exists prohibiting discharge for such a reason.

    You can certainly contact the company and find out if you can apply.
