    Default collection of property judgement Texas

    I was awarded a judgement in my divorce settlement. A few days later he filed for bankruptcy knowing that I had moved, sending the info to my old address knowing it would not reach me in time. Needless to say I received a final judgement a few months later i received a final judgement. what are my rights.

    Many times a judgment in a divorce decree/settlement can't be discharged in bankruptcy. You need to talk to your divorce attorney for your options. (such things as child support & alimony can't be - others depends on various factors)
