Well my question is how long after you become unemployed can you file for unemployment? I was laid off from a seasonal job Dec 31, 2007 and have been trying to find a job and have applied for a few but passed up mostly cuz I am free out of college and most want experience over education. It is now Feb 20, 2008 and I am starting to pinch for money to pay for bills, is it too late to apply for unemployment?

No, it's not too late, but unless VT is very unusual you will still have to go through any waiting period they may have and your benefits will not be retroactive.
