I recently conducted an interview with a candidate who was arrested and confessed to grand theft of his previous employer. I politely explained to him that we conduct background checks prior to hire, and any recent or violent crimes are typically grounds for dismissal.
This candidate was a referal from a production supervisor here, and I know I will here about rejecting this candidate. Does anybody know the minimum amount of money (it was definitely money) in the state of Florida that qualifies for "Grand Theft"?
