Exclamation suspended two times for the same crime Alabama Utah

i was recently suspended for 3 days from work for getting into an argument with a fellow employee and on my last day of suspension they called me and told me i was suspended for another 3 days because they didnt file the paperwork to fire me... that doesnt sound legal to me.. could anyone help enlighten me on the situation

its in utah i dont know why it put alabama on the thread

It is perfectly legal, regardless of what state you are in. No law says that they can't extend a suspension.
