Default W2 Missouri

When I started my job my employer did not have me fill ANY paper work out I worked there for 1 week and I never filled out my paper work now my ex-employer is trying to tell me because he did not have me fill out my W2 he dosent have to pay me till I do well I live very far from him and I dont think it is my responsibility to get his paper work out of they way before I get paid I have worked at places before that said it is just my responsibility to claim my earnings at the end of the year and they just wrote me a check well this guy wont because he thinks it is illegal and it has been over 30 days since I worked for him
what can I do to get paid any suggestions would be great

YOU don't complete a W-2. You complete a W-4, Employee's Withholding Certificate. If you do not complete one, the employer is supposed to withhold at Single with zero exemptions. See page 14 here, the 2nd paragraph:

He cannot withhold your pay because he didn't have you complete (or you didn't submit) an Employee's Withholding Certificate.

Contact the state Dept. of Labor at (573) 751-3403. They may refer you, however, to the federal Dept. of Labor to file a claim for unpaid wages.

Oh, for heaven's sake! It looks to me like you were being paid under the table before.

Your ex-employer needs information on you to pay you. Just call him, give him your SSN and address. He will put you in as the default Single with no exemptions, write you a check and be done with it.

Not the best way to do things, but you will get paid.
