    Default How to bring my step daughter to US Federal Federal Florida

    My husband (permanent US resident) has a 14 years old daughter
    living with her mom in Europe. Her mom became very sick and she
    cannot take care of the girl. My husband and I can and want to take
    care of her and we asked her to go to the US embassy to
    ask for a tourist visa so we can apply for a change of status when she is here.
    However when they found out that she wants to come and live with us
    they said that it is not possible and she cannot even come visit
    anymore. There is nobody there to take care of her.

    What should we do to help her come to live with us?

    We would appreciate your comments.

    If you have a similar question, you might start a new thread with it. Your
    situation may not be exactly the same as the situation here & you may not
    get a reply from anyone under this "old" thread.
