Default Ex wife filing bankruptcy after divorce Arizona

My ex wife is claiming bankruptcy under section 7 in Arizona for several credit cards. These cards are all in her name, were only used for herself and our divorce settlement states that each party is liable for our his/her own debts. She is now telling me that her debtors are going to come after me as it is community property. I have looked at the laws under section 7 and cannot believe that I could be liable for this. Can anyone offer any help or assistance in this matter?

good morning! If the cards were obtained in her name by her and your name or SS# is no where on the credit cards or billing, you will not be liable for the bills, she most likely is telling you this to get your feathers ruffled, but call and ask a lawyer anyway, they do give 1st free consultations most the time. good luck

The original post is over a year old.

By now, the problem has resolved itself.
Not everything that makes you mad, sad or uncomfortable is legally actionable.

I am not now nor ever was an attorney.

Any statements I make are based purely upon my personal experiences and research which may or may not be accurate in a court of law.
