My employer refuses to stay current with the labor law posters. We have about 3 of them, but they are all pre-1995. I don't want to hurt him, but is there a good way to get him to realize if he doesn't post these, he may eventually be in trouble (40+ employees)? Who can I contact?

Even better, why don't you try giving him this information first? Who know, he might do the right thing. |

I am just taking a guess here, but it could be that the employer does not want to pay someone a lot of money to get current posters. We are forever getting junk mail from companies offering to provide us with the most current required posters. We ignore them since we can get them all on the Internet for free.

I believe that employers must have those posters available for any employee to view at any time. I know that the company i used to work for was the same way, didn't refuse, just didn't want to pay the money for the nice laminated ones.
After some digging i was able to download for free all of the posters that need to be posted for employees. I cannot remember the site, but if you google it you should be able to come up with it. Good luck! |

Here is the link to the Department of Labor website. They do a fairly good job at keeping all the Federal posters up to date.

Thanks for all your assistance. My employer is up to date now. He even had a few posters from 1976 & 1981!
