Lunch and Break time requirements Florida

I have recently taken on an HR position in Florida and need clarification as to the states requirement for lunch breaks and other breaks for people working a 40 hour work week. Are u required to give a lunch break?

Neither Federal nor Florida law requires that any breaks at all, meal, lunch, rest, smoke, whatever, be given. It's entirely up to the employer.

The only caveat is that under Federal law, IF breaks are provided, a break of under 20 minutes must be a paid break.
