Sold my house almost 6 months ago. I had it for 18 months and disclosed all I knew. I was recently contacted by the buyer asking for maney to repair the chimney. He had a chimney sweep clean it and he found there had been a chimney fire. he now wants me to pay for it. He had the house inspected and I never had a problem or knowledge of teh alleged fire. Am I liable and for how long might I be held liable in the furutre.
