Default Alabama State Daycare Employment Alabama

My wife is working for a daycare here in Alabama. I was wondering if anyone has any info on hours daycare employees can work without breaks. Also the employer stated that if an employee leaves the room and no one is there to work that room, they can call the police and have you arrested. Hopefully someone can guide me or answer me in this. I do believe there is specific laws for daycares.

The law in Alabama does not require breaks for the adult employees of private employers.

Although there are a VERY few industry-specific exceptions, most if not all at the Federal level, daycare employees are not among them.

I don't know about calling the police and having them arrested, but firing is definitely an option.

You might check with your state legislator or the state licensing board.

I reviewed the state licensing requirements (google Alabama day care) and found nothing that suggested limits to the hours a day care worker could be required to work or suggesting mandatory breaks.
