Trying to find some information regarding paying non-exempt employees for their travel time. We have a few employees that travel for trade shows - they perform set-up, work the show and then tear down. Travel locations vary from West to East, as does the amount of travel time.
My specific questions are: 1. Do we pay overtime automatically after 8 hours each day? 2. Can actual travel time be paid at a different rate? 3. When the show is over and they return to hotel, are they officially off the clock? Thanks for any help you may be able to provide me. |
