Question is this discrimination in Tennessee

I was a manager of a convent store , when my Dm tryed to get me to go to a sore down in Ga. that he had a man to come in to the store to run it . when i did not wont to move to Ga. a week later He called me at home and said that he got a call that one of the new people that i had hired was taking cig's and drinks and selling them. That when I got to work ot count my cig's .
When I called him to let him know about them ,he showed up and counted them to .and got the same count I did. And called in securty. They called me in the back and said that it was me that took them . I said no , then they ask what I would do when the person came in and said I was in on it with her , I told them I didn't care what was said I didn't know them till I had hired them 3 day's ago. They said will see. They said that they were going to were they said they were selling the stuff and would be back . when they came back I let my Dm know that I still need to go to the bank , he said sure go . When I got back the person who they need to talk to was in my office and they were outside, I ask them what they were doing and they said they were taking to her, My Dm said for me to do another cig count the cig were back. He took me in the office and said that he new me but that they didn't and that they said to let me go , he said he new it was not me that took them . the next day a man was in the store. It was the same man that they were going to put in when they were goint to move me. Also I have not got any paper work any thing .The Unemployment office has not got any thing from them they called me 9/9/2006 I was let go on 8/27/2006. Sorry so long.
When I called the home offic they did not have any thing on it .

You have not described any type of discrimination.

The other questions are best left to another poster.

If I correctly understand what you were saying, and I confess I had difficulty reading your post, I don't see where you have much grounds to pursue a case of discrimination. Of course, you are always free to consult an attorney or file a complaint with either the EEOC or the state human rights commission, but frankly *I* don't see much chance of anything happening in your favor. The only basis I can see where you might have grounds for claiming discrimination is if you were female, since you said they wanted to bring a male in to take your place, and then you would need to show based on a perponderance of the evidence that you were treated that way simply because you were female. If that is true, that doesn't come across in the facts you've cited here.

Whether it was fair or not for them to treat you that way because of what someone you hired allegedly did is arguable, but that gives them "grounds" for having terminated you that refutes any argument you might have based on sex.

Sorry, I know that's not what you wanted to hear. Good luck with finding a new job (hopefully better) soon, and in hopefully prompt handeling of your unemployment claim, which I suspect you have a far better chance of winning than a discrimination claim.
