Default Getting fired over the phone Nebraska

My employer fired me over the phone just recently. I realize that is probably not illegal, but how low is that? I had worked there for 19 years.

You are correct! It is not unlawful to be terminated via telephone. At least the boss didn't leave it on a voicemail. It could have been worse.

Well I still think it's low and in poor management.

Do you want your ex-employer to give you even more grief? I recommend you remove the company name from your response.

Would you have preferred that he have you come in only to fire you as soon as you get there?
