Angry Lunch? Missouri

I really need some help here . Ok for my last pay period there where a few days that I did not talk my lunch. I worked through my lunch. On my time card I said no lunch on those days. Well today I picked up my pay check and I got lunch taken out for the days that I did not take a lunch . Can they do this by law ? On my pay stub it said, Any day that you work more than 6 hours you are requered by state law to take a 1/2 hour lunch break. You authorized to work through lunch and cannot get paid for it.

Now my thing is can they do this by law? Take money out of my check that I worked?

Thanks,
TR510

If you worked through your lunch and are classified as non-exempt under FLSA, then you must be paid for all time physically worked. Your company may have a policy requiring you to take a break. This is perfectly legal. It's also legal to terminate you if you do not follow policy.

Default Never got told

All that I got told was that if you take a lunch it is a 30min lunch and if you leave for lunch it is an hour lunch. I have never seen anything saying that we have to take a break untill today when they said it is the law?

Missouri has no laws requiring breaks. Company policy would prevail here.

The answer is the same. If you worked during your break, you should be paid for it.
