If they operate a commercial vehicle in interstate commerce, yes. If they operate a commercial vehicle in intrastate commerce, the answer may change a little. A driver is not required to be medically certified to operate a commercial vehicle if they operate solely intrastate (they do not operate a commercial vehicle outside the borders of Missouri) and had a valid chauffeur's license on or before May 13, 1988.
