Hiring for newly created positions

In a Nebraska hospital setting, is it required for administration to post a position for hire? Or, can they create and hire anyone they chose without opening the the position to all who may be interested?

Either or both. The law neither requires that they post the position nor forbids them to do so. It's up to them.

The above assumes that no contract exists that says otherwise.
